About Me
- Name: Pat McCarthy
- Location: Greenville, Ohio, United States
I've written over a dozen nonfiction children's books. My experience teaching elementary school for many years has helped me to understand kids and how to write for them. My favorite books are the biographies I've written. I'm also revising a middle-grade novel, for kids 9-12 and will soon start submitting it. Besides writing, I love photography and have sold many photos with my articles and books. I also love birding, scrapbooking, travel and camping. I've been to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. I live in the small rural city of Greenville, Ohio with my cat, Oz, who rules the roost.

I absolutely love the second picture. You can feel the race, the jockey's tension, and the grace and strength of the horses. Great work.

Wow, awesome photos! Nice site too. Good luck on your books. They look great. Do you market them to homeschoolers? I homeschooled my kids for nine years, and these look like the kind of books I would have been very interested to buy.
